While I was comparing price and delivery times for a leather race suit, Comet Racing Leathers offered me a big discount to be a brand ambassador. That was a surprise! It seems that they do this quite frequently, and chose me because hard-to-fit riders are a key market for them.
This was unexpected, and actually sounds rather fun. I’ll be getting a made-to-measure suit with good specs and a decent grade of built-in armor, along with what looks like an excellent set of custom gloves, base layers, and a bunch of other swag. In return, I’ll put up their banner at my tent and do a review of the suit. Seems fair to me!
So far I’m happy with our conversations; it seems like a friendly small operation with a decent reputation. The turnaround time is supposed to be about 35 days from payment & measurement, which should get the suit to me around mid-July, which still leave a good chunk of the season for me to ride.
I’m looking forward with excitement to receiving the suit—stay tuned for progress report.
